Visited on a snowy, freezing cold day, The bar was empty ( it was only nearly lunchtime), but it was lovely and warm, and staff were very welcoming. The place is dog friendly, but the must be on a lead. At that time of day and being empty, there wasn't really much of an atmosphere. But with its location by the river and having food available in the bar and restaurant, I am sure that the place changes considerably. If you want comfortable seats, the bar is not the place to be. The chairs and tables are all of the high type. I didn't go into the restaurant, so I can't comment on that. What did come as a shock was the prices, £26 for 2 beers, a coffee, a wine, and a short! If that's winter prices, I don't dare to wonder what they are on a hot summer day, down there by the river? Needless to say, we only had the one and moved on to somewhere else.

Called in after a day out walking , lovely place with good views of the river and countryside, friendly staff and nice atmosphere,loved the fire for a walm . Ordered the vegetarian roast dinner,which was baked feta with apricot roast,tasted really good ,was spot on for the price.

What an absolutely amazing place. Fantastic staff and service. Prices were low for the high quality of food served. Out of the 4 of our party, not a single complaint was had. Will be coming back for a Sunday roast many more times. Thank you guys!!

What a fabulous place. We were there to meet friends earlier in the day and later to have dinner. We booked dinner for 7 people but other friends joined us for drinks and the staff were wonderful friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Location and views are great and the whole place is clean and well looked after. The food was very good and reasonable prices. We had lots of different dishes, all really tasty and even a sausage on a tray for our dog. Plenty of veggie and vegan Wish it was nearer to home as we would definitely be regulars. 1st class in every way. Thank you 🙏 Dietary restrictions: Vegan choices

A nice pub restaurant. Busy early evening on a Friday but quieter as evening went on. The food was great especially the steak, chips a little overdone but ok. Good choice of dessert. Gluten free and vegan options. Service was excellent.

Fantastic visit to the boathouse today. Food was tasty and portions generous. Hospitality and servicewas absolutely fantastic and really made our visit feel special. Staff couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. Thank you!

Visited The Boathouse with my daughter and granddaughter on a Tuesday afternoon . Difficult getting the pushchair down to entrance die to the stairs . If there was a slope entrance we did not see it . Once inside the staff were great . There's a really good choice of local beers including a couple of Timothy Taylors . Food wise I had the pork pie and mushy peas and we also had a caeser salad. Both very tasty . I recommend a visit to The Boathouse when you are next in Saltaire . Wheelchair accessibility: Not ideal

Was up here for the Saltaire Festival, and this pub was just across the river. It's in an awesome location situated right next to the river and across from a field. Has a lovely outside area with plenty of seating. Staff were friendly and it has a good selection of drinks. They do sell food but I didn't eat here. It does have a little bit of the "chain pub" feel which i am not too keen on but that's more of a personal preference. I would come here more often if I lived in the area if for nothing else than the lovely sound of running water outside from a small nearby waterfall.

Amazing location with views over the river. Good menu and excellent range of drinks. Parking: Closest car park is Caroline Street a short walk away. There is no parking at the venue

Called for lunch and had the steak pie which was honestly the biggest and the best one I have ever had. Excellent service from the young waitress and very reasonable prices. Will definitely visit here again. Would recommend booking a table in advance as it got very busy.

When booking our table for 4 mentioned we would be having a couple of drinks before ordering food said not a problem. After arriving we got our drinks sat down at our table. After 10 mins they came for our food order, I mentioned we was having a couple of drinks before ordering food, 10 mins later back again saying they want our order they have a booking for 21 who will be ordering food. We said its OK we was ok waiting.We was still waiting for one of our party still to arrive. We was told we had to vacate our table by a certain time was not aware about that when we booked. Felt very uncomfortable and rushed as they kept coming to our table to make us aware, Including the bar man. We was away with 10 mins to spare. Why do they do that we was aware of the time scale after we arrived just let us relax and enjoy that time, that's all I ask.

A really nice pub with great view on the river. I loved the fact you could sit under the tree shade, inside or stand by the river. Great coffee! I was a bit sceptical, but was amazed with the coffee Josh made 🙂

Cozy upscale pub on the Aire River located between the river and the canal, and just across from Salts mill in Saltaire. They have a variety of seating, indoor and patio areas, all with a great view of Roberts park. An excellent place for a romantic date or a casual business meet up. Fabulous desserts...

Lucky for me I live just a stones throw away from The Boathouse. My visit was on the August Bank Holiday Monday 2024. Not only was it lovely to catch up with my partners brother. But to look out over the river Aire @Roberts Park whilst Saltaire Cricket Club played a cricket match on the very same Park. What's my point am I getting of the point of reviewing The Boat house experience that I had on that day. I guess if I was to bullet point this experience in order to try and get to the point as it were. 1 friendly staff 2 lovely pint well two pints Saltaire Blonde 3 quality food Pie N Peas 4 idyllic location 5 I will be visiting The Bathhouse again 6 I recommend that if you have not frequented The Bathhouse before put it on your list of pubs to visit Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately the one thing that does let down The Bathhouse is it's lack of dissabled access

What a gem of a restaurant on our visit to Saltaire- very friendly staff and the food was delicious. We went for the curries as recommended by the waitress and we even had the chef explaining how he made them - they certainly didn’t disappoint.

I have worked in Saltaire for 23 years and I am ashamed to say that my first visit to the Boathouse was last Friday. It absolutely won't be my last visit. The food was absolutely lovely, between the four of us I had a chargrilled chicken caeser salad, friends had chilli and rice and enormous pizzas (they were given boxes to take the rest home - you need a big appetite!). The lovely young waitress made sure that everything was fine for us and was so friendly and welcoming. See you Friday coming

Punching way above it's weight, this was a lovely pub. It has a local pub feel but the food and beer are great, easily standing shoulder to shoulder with some of the gastro pubs of Leeds. The pie I had seems home made and the beer was lovely, with great table service. We will certainly be coming again.

It was a little bit cold so bi folding door not open on to the riverside so no real atmosphere. Just a lot of noise and the decor doesn't give ant reference to being nautical quite bland really 🤔 .

Highly recommend the burger and fries meal here. The fries were beyond divine. The staff are friendly and helpful, there's a gorgeous view from the waterside tables and the place itself is very comfortable. Will definitely return. Parking: We were lucky as it was quiet but parking can be difficult when it's busy. The street closest has some free-to-park spots but most of the surrounding streets are residents-only and a lot of double yellows.

Just returned home from Boathouse after having family meal. Excellent food and service. Sunday roast was superb, huge Yorkshire's. Fish and chips excellent, fish was so fresh, even the child portion. My granddaughter gave chocolate brownies 5 stars! Overall everything was spot on, we were well looked after, food was so good. Highly recommend the boathouse. Kid-friendliness: Very much so, very friendly, my grandson is autistic but was treated so well

Visited the Boathouse inn restaraunt in Saltaire recently for the first time in January 2024 with my Husband and Father. Lovely setting by a river with outside seating area for food & Drinks, will be perfect in the warmer months. We sat inside at a table by the window with a pleasant view of the River Aire, cosy atmosphere,Staff were attentive and friendly. We chose 2 Sunday roast dinners and 1 chicken & Leek Pie with chips & Peas.. We ordered 2 roast Pork dinners but received 2 Beef dinners.. couldn't be bothered to ask to change them, Beef isn't my favourite meat and was a bit fatty, vegetables seemed to be frozen not fresh.. Roast potatoes were OK.. a lovely Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Didn't have desserts as we were too full. Drinks average price. Unfortunately there isn't a Carpark so my 86 year old father and myself walked inside first to our booked table whilst my husband parked the car on the road..wasn't too far from the restaurant. Will visit again.

Shouldn't have to pay extra for peas for fish/chips .the chips were very poor .The waitress was very helpful and offered a complimentary drink and deducted the peas off the bill .at 13.00pds quite expensive. Plus drinks are very expensive.

Nicely redecorated, enjoyed the food. The area towards the rear of the building is quite cold. Other areas had an open fire which felt more comfortable. Would definitely go again.

Sometimes it shuts early, so if you fancy a pint after 8.30 you might have a wasted trip. Also beer is pretty expensive. There's no disability access so if you're in a wheelchair, forget it. Apart from that it's a nice location on a sunny day and dogs are welcome.

Had a great meal there when visiting Salt's Mill. Service was superb, pleasant and speedy despite the place was packed. Food was excellent and we left stuffed. I would recommend the baked feta, I didn't know what to expect at first, but if you like feta then try it, it was a lovely surprise. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options seemed good enough, my daughter has no trouble finding something she wanted and enjoyed it as well.
